Pins of Secondary Imagery

Growing up I was always interested in the field of science. Even after years of immersing myself in this subject, I noticed as an adult I could not name a single female scientist. After some fact-finding, I was overwhelmed with the amazing contributions women have had in the field throughout history, yet I was disappointed that I had never heard of them or their work before. I created Dames Brains to help showcase the achievements of these scientists in a new and exciting way that generates a lasting impression compared to traditional imagery seen in a classroom setting. The overall design and illustrations are influenced by the style and geometric shapes of the mid-twentieth century, a time when science began to become more prevalent with newly developed technologies. The entire collection can be a resource for people of all ages for educational, recreational, as well as inspirational purposes through the variety of products designed.
